JAMSHEDPUR: A fresh non-bailable arrest warrant was issued on Monday against Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray after he failed to appear in a court here in connection with a case pertaining to his alleged derogatory remarks over ‘chhat’ festival.

Judicial Magistrate A K Tiwari issued the warrant and asked the Mumbai police commissioner to execute the order.

The judge fixed December 18 as the next date of hearing in the case.

Representing Thackeray, counsel R K Singh and Sweta Singh argued that in view of the ongoing protest against his client in Jharkhand, Bihar and Uttar Pradesh against his remark, the MNS chief could not appear in person on security grounds.

However, the judge rejected Thackeray’s petition for his appearance through lawyers.

Earlier, Thackeray had procured interim bail from Mazgaon court in Mumbai against the warrant issued here on September 30.

Jamshedpur Court issues non-bailable warrant against Raj Thackeray

Mumbai, Oct. 20 : A court in Jamshedpur on Monday forwarded a non-bailable warrant (NBW) in the name of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) chief Raj Thackeray to Mumbai police.

The NBW has been issued against Thackeray for allegedly making derogatory remarks against Biharis. Mumbai Police said that the NBW would be executed this week.

Thackeray is presently out of the city.

The non-bailable warrant was issued by the court of first class judicial magistrate A K Tiwary on September 30 directing the MNS leader to be present before him on November 17.

The court directive came on a petition filed against Thackeray by Hammed Raza Khan, a lawyer, for allegedly hurting the religious sentiments of a section of society.

“Raj Thackeray is on a tour of the Konkan region and Western Maharashtra till November 25. It will be the decision of the home department whether to arrest him,” Atul Sarpotdar, General Secretary of the MNS, said.

The NBW was received here a day after MNS activists attacked centres conducting railway recruitment examination in suburban Mumbai to protest against the “inadequate representation” to locals and chased away candidates from north India.

More than 30 MNS activists were arrested from Dombivali, Thane, Andheri and Nala Sopara for disrupting the exam, tearing test papers and pelting stones on candidates, police said. (ANI)

Politicians Like Raj Thackeray – Cause of a weakening Indian Society
Don’t blame Pakistan or the terrorist. They had the courage and pride to inflict damage to a country they believe is there enemy. We have to blame so called Indians like the Thackeray’s and the people who follow them (Marathi Manoos) who are making our society weak. These people unlike the rest of India have never had to struggle and have lived off the wealth created by outsiders. They have negligible contribution towards the growth of Mumbai which was created by outsiders who believed in national pride, hope, hard work and continuous struggle for progress. Mumbai was created by British, Gujaratis, Marwadis, Parsis and companies like TATA’s whose wealth came from their flagship company “Tata Steel” in Bihar. In fact most of these people don’t know or care about Indian History, have never stepped outside Maharastra and are not aware that Mumbai wasn’t even a part of Maharashtra.

Lack of enterprise, ethics, courage and hard work has resulted in a society which demonstrates incompetence in every area and has the potential to adversely effect the Nations growth and prosperity. This is not a simple problem. A weak society influenced by paranoid cowards, completely detached from reality, confused and megalomaniacs like Raj Thackeray has the potential to completely destroy the country to take india to fragmented pre-1947 india , which was a period of intense repression from foreign forces where we saw large scale genocides, large scale destruction of hindu temples and blatant conversion of temples into mosques
