Shah Rukh Khan Reacts: Comments on Prophet Mohammad a Writing Error
A day after a police complaint was filed against him for “hurting religious sentiments” in Islam, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh said Friday that his comments to a magazine were misinterpreted due to a “writing error”.
The First Information Report (FIR) was lodged by the Mumbai Aman Committee (MAC) at the Bandra police station here Thursday after they read in Time’N Style-Luxury that Shah Rukh had listed Prophet Mohammad as one of the most unimpressive personalities in history alongside Adolf Hitler and Winston Churchill.
But Shah Rukh said it was a “writing error” and that he had named the Prophet among the most impressive personalities in history.
‘Blame the typo’
“Obviously I think that there is no more important figure in history than Prophet Mohammad in the most positive way possible. Also, being a Muslim and standing up for the tenets of Islam is my most important agenda. If they (MAC) have seen my interviews on TV about Islam and Prophet Mohammad, they would know it’s a writing error and not a thought or view that I believe in…” Shah Rukh told IANS in an SMS message.

“For all practical purposes, Prophet Mohammad is the most important positive figure in Islam…” he added.
A corrigendum from the magazine was also published across Mumbai newspapers Thursday wherein the magazine accepted the error.
The corrigendum stated: “This is with reference to the interview with Shah Rukh Khan that featured in Time’N Style-Luxury Vol-1 issue: The answer to question ‘According to you (Shah Rukh) who is the most impressive figure in history?’ should have appeared as: “There are lots of them. Some negative ones like Hitler. Then Napoleon, Winston Churchill were impressive.“
“If I can call it history then most impressive, positive figure Prophet Mohammad and from recent times there are the nice ones like Nelson Mandela, Gandhi ji and Mother Teresa.” This is a clarification and the error is deeply regretted.
An official from the Bandra police station, however, confirmed that the FIR had not been withdrawn even after the corrigendum was published.

Moreover, there’re no gourds left anymore after his clarification and also the magazine’s that we may put any blame on SRK. If in your view there are, do share!
As i have red from the website that shahrukh says its typing mistake than there is no problem.If Shahrukh is wrong that is if he said improper words againts PBUH than i will hate shahrukh khan, i like shahrukh khan if he did like this than there is no way to forgive him because he blamed on our prophet(PBUH).
Bottom line is, if he denies that and so does the magazine, there’s no basis left to be more conditional with assumptions.

Hi Muhammmad Kamran, i know shah rukh khan is not good muslim as he said him self that he is practising 2 religion in his home. And a part from that is not suppose to mention the name of the PROPHET or compared the PROPHET with those people, even if it’s on a good way. So i didn’t support him and he deserve to be punish for what he did ACCORDING TO ISLAMIC LOW.
i was a great fan of him before this incident.i never missed his any movie but now he hurt me so much that i hate him so much that i have no word to epress.he is controvercial personality regarding islam.He kept a Mander in his mouse being a muslim he told that i never compell my childern they have their own choice to select the religion what they want.
However SRK has said these words or not, but if i would have been there where anybody comments like that i would have killed that person at the very moment.
Now SRK has to follow the rules to avoid retaliation from the true muslims.He must offer his taubah as soon as possible and go to some ulema of indian mosque for clarifications.
I have read the remarks given by the Indian actor against moslems Prophet MOHAMMAD. The Indian actor is undoubtedly an ad nauseam. Now he is using circumlocution and terming it as a typo mistake.

Why are SRK’s supposed remarks considered “against” the Prophet, PBUH? Is tolerance of other religions and faiths by definition “against” the Prophet or against Islam? That is not at all what the Prophet or Islam teach. They teach that there should be no coercion in matters of faith. That is the essence of SRK’s supposed remarks. If these are his remarks, he seems to be a better Muslim from his tolerance and respect of his own and of other faiths, than those who threaten to kill him for his so-called belief or faiths.
You are sullying the image of Islam by your intolerant responses, actually justifying violence simply because of someone’s supposed beliefs. Doing mistake and afterwards regretting has become hobby for almost everybody. These movie stars think they have everything. Those are lucky who know in their lives that where they are standing, they get a chance to think about it. Although I have left viewing movies since years but hearing this that Mr. Shahrukh Khan said such words I am feeling a personal grduge against him.
He has crossed 40 and how much left he don’t know, infact nobody knows. Muslims are identifiable to others first by name and second by their actions. I know many Christians who are living amongs us changing their names to Muslim names and this ways they think they are getting benefit. I know a proven saying that a person who understand things can nevery left behind accepting Islam. Mr. Khan the name, money, family, etc. you are earning, can neither help you in this world nor the one to come.
