British Islamists Plot Against Pakistan

British militants are pushing for the overthrow of the Pakistani state. Followers of the fundamentalist group Hizb ut-Tahrir have called for a “bloodless military coup” in Islamabad and the creation of the caliphate in which strict Islamic laws would be rigorously enforced.
Members of the group, which describes itself as the Liberation party in Britain but is banned in Pakistan, revealed last week that it had targeted the country as a base from which to spread Islamic rule across the world.
The Sunday Times has obtained the names of a dozen British Hizb ut-Tahrir activists based in Lahore and Karachi, or commuting between Britain and Pakistan. There are believed to be many more.
Tayyib Muqeem, an English teacher from Stoke-on-Trent, said he had moved to Lahore to convert Pakistanis to the movement.
At Lahore’s Superior College, where Muqeem has set up a Hizb ut-Tahrir student group, he said the organization’s aim was to subject Muslim and western countries to Islamic rule under sharia law, “by force” if necessary.
In a caliphate, “every woman would have to cover up” and stoning to death for adultery and the chopping off of thieves’ hands would be the law, he said.
He added that Islamic rule would be spread through “indoctrination” and by “military means” if non-Muslim countries refused to bow to it. “Waging war” would be part of the caliphate’s foreign policy.

One of Hizb ut-Tahrir’s strategies in Pakistan is to influence military officers, he revealed.
Shahzad Sheikh, a Pakistani recruit and the group’s official spokesman in Karachi, talked openly about persuading the army to instigate a “bloodless coup” against the present government who, he said, were “worse than the Taliban”.
“It is the military who hold the power (in Pakistan) and we are asking them to give their allegiance to Hizb ut-Tahrir,” he said. “I can’t explain to you in detail how we are trying to influence the military . . . We never disclose our methodology of change. You may say it’s a coup.”
In 2003 four army officers were arrested in Pakistan on suspicion of being linked to extremist groups, although the groups and men have not been named. A Hizb ut-Tahrir insider at the time claims they were recruited by the organisation’s “Pakistan team” while training at Sandhurst.
The group is believed to have been set up in Pakistan in the early 1990s by Imtiaz Malik, a British-born Pakistani who may still be operating underground as its leader in the country. In 1999 a call was sent to British Hizb ut-Tahrir members to move to Pakistan. This prompted the movement of some of the UK’s “top quality” activists to south Asia.
“Pakistan was neglected and ignored until it had a nuclear bomb and then the global leader realised it would be a good strategic base for the caliphate,” said Maajid Nawaz, one of the organisation’s pioneers in Pakistan, who has since renounced the group.
Nawaz claimed at least 10 British activists were planted in each of Pakistan’s main cities. “The traffic has been increasing ever since and people are always going back and forth (to the UK),” he added.
“Hizb ut-Tahrir sets the mood music for suicide bombers to dance to,” said Nawaz, who has now started an initiative to “claim Pakistan back” from extremists.
Hasan-Askari Rizvi, a former professor in Lahore who is now a security analyst, said: “This organisation was brought to Pakistan by Pakistani Britishers. People were impressed that these young, educated Brits were so committed to Islam that they came to Pakistan.”
The group spreads its message through a secretive network of small groups. Its recruitment campaigns among students are clearly bearing fruit: evidence was found of cells in Lahore’s major universities and private colleges.

The real ones who ‘plot against Pakistan’ are those who allow its foreign policy to be dictated by the US State Department and the British Foreign Office, those who cede control of Pakistan’s economic resources to multinationals and those who allow Pakistan’s territory to be used by foreign armies for the vicious assault on Afghanistan. The Rawalpindi Chohr Chowk blast, killing of Dr. Naeemi, blast outside ISI office in Lahore and dozens of other such attacks are part of the American strategy to mould the public opinion in favour of military operations. Anybody with rudimentary political awareness knows that these bomb blasts only benefited America who managed to create favourable opinion for these operations. The band of Zardari, Gilani, Kiyani and Rehman Malik have handed over Pakistan’s control to America without firing a single shot. They have surrendered before America’s war and now they are on the American payroll.

- and to expand your view by mentioning that it’s not for the sake of assault on Afghanistan but also for the CIA to establish bases, recruitment centers and regional headquarters for RAW also, and that too in Islamabad! I find no reason why are we so mute on this, against what we’ve compromised our security and motherland’s integrity? It is about as “independent” as Hamid Karzai or Nuri al Maliki are from U.S. control in Afghanistan and Iraq respectively. Further, the co-director, Mr. “Ed” (I-changed-my-name-because-I-am-ashamed-of -being-Muslim) Hussain has:
1. Gone on record as having supported the Iraq war but not the aftermath or handling of it.
2. Poured cold water on the idea that western policy in the Muslim world makes terrorist attacks in Pakistan and elsewhere more likely,
3. Wants caps on immigration and thinks too many non-white (Pakistani/Bengali/Somali) people are in the UK
4. He has no truck with the idea of Islamophobia, which he dismisses as the “squeal of an Islamist leadership pleading special favours”
5. On issues such as segregation, and discrimination against Muslims in issues of housing, employment, and education he is confident it is the fault of multiculturalism.

Hizb-ut-Tahrir is established since 1953 and working in more than 40 muslim and non muslim countries. Hizb doesnt believe in voilence and consider it contrarory to eastablish Khilafah. Hizb only engages in Political and Intellectual struggle to establish an Islamic state. In last 50 years hizb has never engaged her self in voilence.

Oooh! Another Pakistan Scare Story
This is another example of the scare campaign that the American and the British [Am-Brit] media is busy waging against Pakistan.
Hizb al-Tahrir is a small British Muslim group. It is not only based in the UK but some of its members were granted political asylum by successive British governments. There have been reports that the British secret service MI6 has actually penetrated the group and succeeded in planting or recruiting agents to be used in their countries of origin.
The Hizb has always been peaceful and its members were never found involved in violence. But it is their position that all governments in Arab and Muslim nations need to be removed in order to establish a Muslim empire.
Nothing wrong with that. They’re free to believe in this and promote it peacefully. We have Israelis who believe in reviving the Kingdom of Israel from the Niles to the Euphrates. And we have Americans who believe America must wage wars in order to preserve its supremacy and end competition. And we have Indians who believe God is a monkey or a cow. So big deal if we have the Hizb.
The Hizb has never specifically focused on Pakistan because the group is equally present in almost all the major Arab and Muslim nations.
But here we have the Sunday Times specifically creating a scare over Pakistan. Why? Because it fits into the Am-Brit campaign of lying to the world about Pakistan and creating an image where Britian and the US could argue that the world allow these two to invade another nation for the sake of world peace.
Pakistani politicians visit Washington and London frequently but are scared to raise this anti-Pakistan campaign in the Am-Brit media.
Maybe this is because most of these politicians have their properties and assets in London. This Am-Brit campaign has tremendously damaged Pakistan’s image worldwide through lies and inaccuracies.
There is enough evidence that the Am-Brit media is indulging in targeted campaigns that serve the objectives of their governments and their militaries, like the gang-up on Iran.
Pakistan should demand that this anti-Pakistanism stop.
It’s also interesting to note who is behind this anti-Pakistanism. The Sunday Times is owned by Rupert Murdoch. Mr. Murdoch’s other media group, FoxNews, has been dedicated to the cause of the new empire builders in Washington and their poodles in London.

well Ahmed you had done a gud work. There is one major problem that British n Americans are destroying the image of Islam and Pakistan. the organizations or communities doing well for Islam are presented in such a way that they are anti Islam. Now its our duty to investigate which one is right. How cud b this done? simply study and understand Islam as much as u can so that any one doing wrong you can point out that. This is the way we can throw out our FEAR. We can fight and spread Islam and can answer ant question about Islam. Jihad is not only with Rifle, its with every thing you got. with this internet age with TOOOO much information (most of the information is junk) we will see these threats – we will see people prospering on our fears – and people will claim to be the bearer of change (the forced change) … it is up to us to make distinction of the real threats and bogus quaks…. The change from outside and from the government level will not be permanent till we change our thinking, mindset, and habits, no matter what Imran Khan or any good political/ Hero, practices or implements… It is difficult to change ourselves, we are fascinated by west, by new technology, big houses, large mansions, servants, big cars, and STATUS QUE… How can we implement ZERO money marriages — no one will notice if I set rules that we will not spend money and give dowery to our daughters when she will get married (who am I to people .. who care if Kouser says this… she is probably dirt poor and covering her poor status!!!) , but it will matter and noticeable if Imran Khan will get married in a Masjid and have sedding reception in his home with few family members without any media coverage and “showSha”… then people will say, yes … this is the person I need to be my leader. even though he/she has money he will chose to live in simple home w/ simple car and will be humbleto sit on zameen… please dont tell me this is not impossible… Good things will happen to us if we start making these changes and this could become the latest fashion… The most elite and modern person will be healthy, fit, will live in a simple home , will walk to work, and a big smile on his face… He will use technology for his education, and a ladder to his/her/Nation’s success, not to add more TVs and video games to his millions collection…
