A friend just shared this video clip on Facebook and I don’t really know how old this clip is and as to when was this video made. After googling a while, I came across some people saying it to be of October 2nd, 2009 but since there was no valid reference to that, I don’t claim anything. BUT, I believe that the police reforms are now seriously accounted by the people of Lahore in Public!
I’m sympathetic to the poor policemen killed at suicide blasts and I have high hopes with the Police Reforms and believe that in a short while they’d start to produce feel-good results too. But nothing justifies a crime for we must call a spade ‘a spade’. Doing the right is a good job but not enough for the evil must also be handled strictly too.

In the video below, people of Lahore have been observed taking law in their own hands as they beat the uniformed on-duty Policemen. But of course, their officially assigned duty is not to harass, terrorize and torture the innocent citizens (a boy and his 7 year old baby-sister) which they are accustomed to!
A boy in the market while crossing the road saves himself and his 7 year old sister from an out-of-control passing by carriage vehicle. The boy then addresses the nearby standing policemen and requests them to handle the matter with the truck-driver. In response, the typical attitude by the Policemen is being observed; the complainant gets beaten and also, his 7 year old sister. The public around watch the matter and hold accountable the terrorist Policemen right away, and that too, on-air! How? let’s watch the video:

Well. That is pretty much true. Police high handedness is visible in all around Pakistan, well this attitude harden in conflict torn areas like Baluchistan. This is serious issue, police register false cases against innocent people while it let go big guns. Police reforms are must and direly needed, in short.
you don’t like to see this sort of thing but it actually happened to me and my kids while in Lahore. An idiot flying on his corolla alomots ran me over and when I asked the police why they did nothign to the guys they said….who sir?…..anyhow, I love our police guys as they work hard and i don’t care if they take a few bucks here and there…but they should not clap aorund kids….he needed a good beating
if we consider gavelly the only and one solutions to the all issues and crises to pakistan ,,is a high educated oppointed by cogent procedure re eforcement of police is un avoidable u do yr policing based on dedicated honest and intelligent citizens yr all issues fron root level to gross level will be solved
fault lies with coward pakistanis not police
if some high police officials are publically hanged than no one will dare to pass his limits
but pakistanis are a clueless and guideless nation
police ppl rape girls and still no one even arrests them here
our shrif rulers infact double the police pays so they can rape and kill more
